fire season ramped up big time this week. 30000 acres so far Pine Gulch fire, mostly remote near Grand Junction . small fire near on an old burn scar last week outside Glenwood Springs. Then today this:
started on Interstate 70 in Gl enwood Canyon (one of the most beautiful interstate sections in the country). thankfully not a lot of residences nearby, but this one is gonna go for a while with this weather.

Just had another brush fire start up just east of Phoenix where the last really big one was a month ago.

I live in the Western Slope - that Pine Gulch fire is no joke.
